Links with the local community and British organisations such as the WRVS ensure a steady flow of volunteers to help with outings, shopping trips, social events and lifts to local church services.
Every week Quinta da Fonte hosts an arts and games group.
On a daily basis, residents can be accompanied to the local café and even as far as the beach, which is a ten minutes' walk away.
Films (DVDs) are shown from time-to-time
A separate room is available for exercising and is equipped with an exercise bicycle.
